Final Leg: Canarys to Belgium

Back into the A320 for a final flight from the Canary Islands to Belgium.

Gabon to Canarias

Next leg takes the Thomas Cook 757 from Gabon up to the Northwest into the Canary Islands.

Southwestern Africa

Taking the Thomas Cook 727 up the Western Africa Coast, Cape Town to Libreville. I have NO EXPLANATION for the blank segment at 1:19, sorry.

South America to South Africa

I left Montevideo late in the afternoon ... arriving in Cape Town just after dawn. Again, I could have sworn I had a Thomas Cook A330 but this is as close as I seem to come.

Colombia to Montevideo

Continuing now in the 757 ...

From our small little airport in Central Colombia we fly across South America into Montevideo, Uruguay.

Denver to Central Colombia

Okay ... Thomas Cook does not fly between the US and Colombia. I know that.
No airline would fly between Denver and this small-town in Central Colombia - you certainly wouldn't be taking 757s into this little place along a river valley.

But this was a FUN approach and landing!!

San Francisco to Denver - RJ85

Next up was a very pleasant Spring-day flight in the Avro RJ. San Fran > Tahoe > Salt Lake (with some bumps) > Denver from the north. Lots of traffic departing into the wind so I landed southbound with a crosswind. Still though, not too bad.

Los Angeles to San Fran - VFR

From LAX I followed the 405 freeway north to the 101 and then followed that to Ventura. This route took me over my old High School but still kept me without sight of the coast. Then I just flew up the coast past San Simeon and Big Sur. Finally, when I could see SFO off the right wing I turned and made a crosswind landing.

Brisbane to Los Angeles

Long overnight trans-Pacific flight in the 787 (not yet in service, obviously)

Perth to Brisbane

Having arrived in the middle of the night after my A-330 flight, I departed into the morning sun and trekked across southern Australia in the A-320.

Mombasa to Perth

I could have SWORN that I had a Thomas Cook A330 in my hangar ... weird! Okay, so, this one is sorta close. Sorry ...
